NC CWC members request PM Deuba to not hold party meetings at his official residence

KATHMANDU, July 19: Members of Nepali Congress Central Working Committee members have requested Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to not hold any party meetings at his official residence in Baluwatar.

KATHMANDU, July 19: Members of Nepali Congress Central Working Committee members have requested Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to not hold any party meetings at his official residence in Baluwatar.


“We have requested the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba not to hold any meeting of the party in Baluwatar,” Gagan Thapa, a central working committee member, wrote in his social media. “He has assured us that this time it was in Baluwatar due to the sit-in protests at the party office, but it will not happen from now on.”

He further wrote: ‘Prime Minister, please maintain this trust.’


Advocate Om Prakash Aryal on Sunday had filed a writ petition against the decision of each Prime Minister to organize party meetings at the prime minister’s official residence. The move of prime minister to organize party meeting at the prime minister’s official residence has drawn flak from various quarters.
