KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Taking strong exception to the activities of the government, Nepali Congress disrupted a federal parliament meeting held in New Baneshwar on Thursday.

Speaking at the parliament, Nepali Congress lawmaker Dilendra Badu lashed out at the government saying that it could not nab the culprit of the Nirmala rape-murder case even after the 49 days.

Badu further said that high level investigation team member Birendra KC had also resigned from his post expressing dissatisfaction over the credibility of the report.

“Criminal activities are taking place day by day and the probe teams are changing in a mysterious manner,” said Badu.

No sooner Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara announced the opening of the meeting, then NC lawmakers stood up from their chairs and started disrupting the meeting and warned that they would not let the meeting run until the government steps down.
