KATHMANDU, June 5: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has urged Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to set up a museum in the name of late NC leader Girija Prasad Koirala in Biratnagar, Morang.
Speaking at the unveiling of the statue of late leader Girija Prasad Koirala organized by the Nepal Trade Union Congress in Kathmandu today, Koirala proposed that the building at Jutmil in Biratnagar be turned into a museum in the name of Girija Prasad Koirala.

She insisted that since the building still contained materials of historical importance, it needed to be turned into a museum. Leader Koirala claimed that the construction of the museum would be significant for the history of the Nepali Congress.
She said, “Because the current Prime Minister belongs to the Nepali Congress, it is my desire that he advances the building as a museum. There are historical materials in the building. Let’s move this forward as soon as possible.”
Koirala said that she was hopeful that the construction of the museum would be easy and that the government would help in the process as the current Prime Minister is from the Nepali Congress.
