NC Palpa candidate Shrestha passes away

PALPA, May 12: Ward candidate of Nepali Congress Tansen Municipality- 4 Rajendra Shrestha has passed away.  Shrestha, who was also the vice chairman of Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, died of cardiac arrest on Friday.

PALPA, May 12: Ward candidate of Nepali Congress Tansen Municipality- 4 Rajendra Shrestha has passed away.  Shrestha, who was also the vice chairman of Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, died of cardiac arrest on Friday.


Family members had taken him to hospital after noticing some cardiac problem while at home in Butwal.

According to his family source, 46-year-old Shrestha died at 7 am.  Also the aspirant of the mayoral post of Tansen Municipality, Nepali Congress had decided to provide him ticket on Thursday.


Vice Chairman of Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shrestha had been elected Palpa CCI Vice Chairman unopposed. Hotelier and construction entrepreneur, Shrestha had been actively involved in the politics in the last days.


Shrestha, who originally hails from Tansen-4, Bisal Bazaar, is the NC district committee member.


His body was brought to Tansen for paying last tributes.
