NC President Deuba calls for joining hands in relief and rescue in storm-hit areas

KATHMANDU, April 1: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the government to make immediate arrangement of rescue and treatment of the injured and relief and compensation to the families of those who died in the rainstorm in Bara and Parsa on Sunday evening.

KATHMANDU, April 1: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the government to make immediate arrangement of rescue and treatment of the injured and relief and compensation to the families of those who died in the rainstorm in Bara and Parsa on Sunday evening.

Issuing a statement here today, the leader of the main opposition party has also expressed profound sorrow over the demise of more than three dozen people and injury to hundreds in the incident, and extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.


Stating that the party Vice-chair Bimalendra Nidhi has left for the affected site, party chair Deuba has also directed all party central members and cadres to join the post-disaster rescue, rehabilitation and relief works. He also appealed to all for their support at this time of grief. RSS
