NC raises Rs 10.69m for flood victims

KATHMANDU, August 26: Nepali Congress (NC) has raised Rs 10.69 million for the relief of victims of the recent floods and landslides.

KATHMANDU, August 26: Nepali Congress (NC) has raised Rs 10.69 million for the relief of victims of the recent floods and landslides.


According to a statement issued by the NC on Friday, the party raised Rs 10.69 million from its 207 lawmakers. Earlier, the party had decided to donate one month’s pay of all its lawmakers to support the victims.

NC Parliamentary Committee Secretary Dhruba Wagle handed over a check to the party’s Acting President Bimalendra Nidhi at a function held at NC headquarters in Sanepa on Friday.


Receiving the check, Nidhi said the amount will be deposited in Nepali Congress Flood Victim’s bank account (0135-11-0010075) at Nepal Bank Limited.
