KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Nepali Congress has revised the date of the conventions of 16 districts and has rescheduled it for January 29.
The Central Election Committee of the party has stated that the date of the district convention has been revised in view of the National Assembly election to be held on January 26.
UML to hold district convention on January 7
Election Committee Secretary Keshav Rijal informed Republica that today's meeting of the committee has fixed the date for district conventions of the district working committees which are yet to be elected under the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
The party has stated that district conventions of the party are yet to be held in Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Sindhupalchok, Chitwan, Banke, Kailali, Achham and Nawalpur.
