NC's protest to protect Constitution, says Gachchhadar

BIRATNAGAR, July 31: Deputy-leader of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, has said that the Nepali Congress has organised the protest programme today to protect the Constitution.

BIRATNAGAR, July 31: Deputy-leader of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, has said that the Nepali Congress has organised the protest programme today to protect the Constitution. 



Talking to media persons here today, leader Gachchhadar accused the government of interfering in judicial and administrative organs of the State.

He expressed the view that the government has violated the Constitutional provision of having Speaker and Deputy-Speaker from different gender and parties. Responding to a query, leader Gachchhadar said that there should not be intervention in the independent judiciary from any side. 



On a different note, he said that there would be adjustment of leaders and cadres from centre to ward between Nepali Congress and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) before the Mahasamiti meeting. 



Meanwhile, member of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, said that the PHSC meeting was put off on the basis of a consensus. 



Talking to media persons, Karki clarified that the meeting was postponed on the basis of consensus of all members to take concrete decision regarding the issue of acting Chief Justice Deepak Raj Joshi in the meeting.
