Poudel reminded that NC had fought for democracy for seventy years. "A major responsibility at present is to protect the system. For this to happen, concerted efforts are imperative," he emphasized, adding that the system was more important than the government at present.

Moreover, the time has come to make NC the party with utmost trust of the people, he said. The senior leader said the people should not be confused over what NC pleads and practices. "The trend of idolizing individual leaders should come to an end in NC," Poudel demanded.
