NC student leader injured in a clash over nomination row

BIRGUNJ, Dec 26:  A student leader was injured in a clash between the two groups affiliated to Nepal Students Union (NSU), the sister organization of Nepali Congress party in the district on Wednesday.

BIRGUNJ, Dec 26:  A student leader was injured in a clash between the two groups affiliated to Nepal Students Union (NSU), the sister organization of Nepali Congress party in the district on Wednesday.


Police said the clash took place at Parsa NSU district office following some disagreement over nomination of party representatives from the district chapter.

NSU leader Roshan Singh attacked Samir Ansari, vice-charperson of Thakurram Multiple Campus over dispute that ensued between the two factions ahead of a district-level conclave of the NSU, according to NSU campus unit chairman Manoj Sah.


Ansari, who has sustained head injuries, is receiving treatment at Narayani Sub Regional Hospital. Around 100 security personnel have been deployed in the incident site to prevent further clashes.
