NC takes lead in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR, May 15:  Nepali Congress is taking lead in Suryabinayak Municipality in the district.

 BHAKTAPUR, May 15:  Nepali Congress is taking lead in Suryabinayak Municipality in the district. 


As per the early results of  vote counting, NC candidate Bishnu Karki has secured 71 votes against UML candidate’s 58 votes.


Similarly, Prabin Dhungel of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has got 26 votes as of now while Manoshobha Twati Suwal has got 6 votes.

The vote counting at Suryabinayak Municipality-1 is over. There are 10 wards in this municipality with 37,957 voters altogether.


As many as 3119 (81.72%) votes were cast in the local level elections yesterday.


Of the four municipalities, the vote counting first began in Suryabinayak Municipality, Bhaktapur.


The vote counting began at 9 am today.


The vote counting has begun in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality and Bhaktapur Municipality, according to a returning officer. The vote counting is yet ot begin in Changunarayan Municipality.
