KATHMANDU, Nov 7: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold its ward convention in 13 districts after the Chhath festival. The ward conventions in these 13 districts could not be held earlier due to disputes among the party members of these districts.
The NC has not been able to hold its ward convention in 13 districts including Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Rasuwa, Banke, Surkhet, Dolpa and Kailali. The disputes among party members have not been resolved in Rasuwa and Raautahat yet.

Meanwhile, the central election committee of NC has scheduled the ward convention for November 13. So far NC has conducted the ward convention in 64 districts.
The NC has announced it will hold its General Convention from December 10 to 12 in Kathmandu.
