NCP party merger process concluded

KATHMANDU, July 16: The process of party merger of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has concluded on Tuesday. After having four hours of meeting at Baluwatar, the two chairpersons KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal came to an accord to conclude the merger process of the party.


As per the agreement, the two leaders have settled the contentious issues related to the assignment of tasks to central committee members, the formation of elderly people’s forum, advisory committee, departments and commission among others, according to general secretary Bishnu Poudel.

Speaking with the media after the meeting, leader Poudel said,” All the issues have been settled. Now the secretariat meeting of the party will endorse and will take it for the implementation process.”


Two chairpersons hold a meeting for four hours before reaching the conclusion. The political report has been sent for the print, informed Poudel. He asserted that all party leaders and cadres will be assigned responsibility as per the decision. He said that the details of the allocation of the job will be made public after the meeting of the secretariat.


Earlier, in the day, chair Dahal had assured the party cadres of bringing the process of party merger to the conclusion by Tuesday evening.
