According to Dahal's Press Adviser Bishnu Sapkota, the two leaders agreed to convene the party's central secretariat meeting on Sunday. During the meeting, Oli and Dahal held discussions on a wide range of contemporary political issues including finalizing the party's unification process at the district level. The two chairmen reportedly agreed to settle ongoing disputes regarding the party's unification at the district level at the earliest.

The meeting also dwelled on various issues including the performance of the government. Oli had also shared the outcomes of his visit to New York and Costa Rica during the meeting that lasted almost for three hours.
