For over a decade, Bajaj Pulsar has been synonymous to style and speed for bike enthusiasts. Be it Light Sports 135 or the overpowering 220 DTS-i, Pulsar is one of the most popular bikes that has been satisfying the need for speed of many. And finally, HH Bajaj has a new addition to its Pulsar inventory, Pulsar 200 NS. Pulsar 200 NS is the best Pulsar yet, a full-blooded new member of the Pulsar family, says the company.

According to Chiranjibi Shah, Deputy General Manager of HH Bajaj, Pulsar 200 NS is meant for those who take riding as a passion. “NS is not a commuter, it is targeted to true racing fanatics who take riding seriously” said Shah. He also informed that HH Bajaj has sold more than 100,000 units of Pulsars till date.

Pulsar 200 NS is definitely one of the most attractive bikes in the naked sports segment. The design of the bike is very distinct from its predecessors, but it still retains the muscular design philosophy of the Pulsar series. The Pulsar 200 NS exhibits unprecedented aggression with its sharp-edged fuel tank, futuristic tail design, wider tires, a distinct headlight and not to mention, its naked engine.

The outer shell of Pulsar 200 NS is an exact match for the ferocious performance packed inside. At the heart of this street fighter, lies a SOHC 4 valve 199cc liquid cooled engine. According to the company, it is the world’s first motorbike to employ Triple Spark engine technology. Simply put, it is an engine with three spark plugs. The three plugs fire in a certain sequence according to requirement. The use of three spark plugs results in an efficient combustion which in turn generates more power and delivers better fuel efficiency.

The engine of Pulsar 200 NS generates a maximum power of 23.52 ps at 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 18.3 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission that offers true sports experience. The bike can accelerate from 0-60 km/hr in just 3.61 seconds, and can go from 0-100 in 9.83 seconds. Pulsar 200 NS has a top speed of 136 km/hr.

Other laudable features of the new Pulsar include Nitrox mono suspension that provides superb stability and an easy ride on all riding conditions. The optimized handling and cornering of the bike is credited to the underbelly exhaust that provides better mass stabilization.  The liquid cooling system adjusts the engine temperature and is responsible for engine longevity. Going fast has to be balanced with stopping fast, that’s why the Pulsar 200 NS comes with disk brakes on both the tires.

This stylish and powerful speed machine can be yours at a cost of Rs 264,900.  The company is giving out a warranty of 2 years or 30,000 kms, whichever is earlier. Just grab the keys, twist the throttle and talk to the wind with new Pulsar 200 NS.
