Although preparations were made for his visit in April itself, Prime Minister Dahal's visit was canceled at the last moment. As per the tentative itinerary, Prime Minister Dahal will land in New Delhi on May 31. He will be welcomed by External Affairs Minister Jayashankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on the same day.
During the visit, PM Dahal will call on President and Vice-President of India and will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Modi to discuss the diverse areas of the bilateral partnership between India and Nepal. The meeting will be followed by various cooperation agreements between the two countries.
Other Indian dignitaries will call on the PM Dahal. In addition to the official engagements, Dahal will also be visiting Ujjain and Indore during his four-day stay in India.
The visit continues the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between India and Nepal in furtherance of our ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy, according to the External Affairs Ministry of India.
