KATHMANDU, Jan 29: Nepal and Luxembourg have held Foreign Minister-level talks today.
The delegation level talks were held between Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn, who is on an official visit to Nepal, and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Nepal, Japan Foreign Ministers hold bilateral talks
During the talks, views were exchanged on matters of mutual interest and concern as well as on issues of regional and international issues of common concern. It is stated that the two ministers exchanged views on all aspects of bilateral relations and agreed to work together in areas of common interests.
Foreign Affairs Minister Gyawali has also organised a lunch in honour of his Luxembourg counterpart. A special function will be held here later today on behalf Luxembourg marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Luxembourg Foreign Minister Asselborn will pay a courtesy call on Primke Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday. Nepal's ambassador to the European Union and Luxembourg, Lok Bahadur Thapa, Ambassador of Luxembourg for Nepal, Jean Claude Kugener among high officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both countries were present during the talks.
Luxembourg has been providing development assistance to Nepal through the United Nations and the European Union in the sectors of education, health, environmental conservation and development.
