Nepal Army imports 18.8 tons of medical supplies from China

KATHMANDU, May 19: The Nepal Army imported 18.8 tons of medical supplies from China on Tuesday.


A wide-body aircraft of Nepal Airlines landed at 9 am today morning carrying medical supplies from Guangzhou city of China. The medical supplies include PPE, N-95 masks and among others, according to Nepal Army spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.

The NA had signed a procurement deal with China to bring 342 tons of medical supplies from the northern neighbor.


The Nepal Army has also been mobilized to contain the spread of COVID-19 and strictly implement the lockdown orders.
