KATHMANDU, April 29: Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Beijing-based China Overseas Developing Association (CODA) with the objective of promoting bilateral trade, investment and tourism.
Vice President of the NCCCI Tribhubhuvan Chandra Tuladhar and General Secretary of the CODA He Zhenwei signed the deal in Beijing, according to a press release issued by the NCCI on Monday.

As per the deal, the two sides were agreed to work together to exchange trade-related information, promote joint investment, trade diversification. The two sides also agreed to promote their cooperation through exchange of visits in each other’s country on various occassions including seminars.
On the occasion, NCCI President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha said that the NCCCI has signed similar deals with other 31 Chinese firms and organizations to promote bilateral trade, agriculture, investment and tourism.
He also said that President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s state visit to China has contributed to take the bilateral ties between the two countries to a new level. Shrestha also urged the Chinese entrepreneurs to establish industries in Nepal and increase the export of goods to the country.
“Now, there is a stable government in Nepal and it has been enjoying the facilities granted to least developed countries,” he said. Shrestha said that agriculture, tourism, hydropower and infrastructure are the best areas to invest in Nepal. A NCCCI delegation is currently visiting Beijing.
