KATHMANDU, July 11: Nepal has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on pilgrims in Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir of India on Monday.
Six Hindu pilgrims were killed and dozen others were injured after a bus on their way back from the Amarnath shrine got caught up in a crossfire while a militant group attacked a police bunker.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba condemned the attack and also expressed condolence and sympathy to the people and government of India.
“I am deeply saddened by the news of terrorist attack on pilgrims returning from Amarnath in India. On behalf of the government of Nepal, I strongly condemn the attack on innocent pilgrims that took the lives of six innocent pilgrims and left others injured,” reads a statement issued by the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister has also expressed deep condolence and sympathy to the government and people of India and also wishes for speedy recovery of the injured in the incident.
Also, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the attack issuing a separate statement on Tuesday. “The Government of Nepal strongly condemns the terrorist attack on the bus, expresses deep condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family members and wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured,” reads the statement issued by the ministry.
