Nepal condemns terrorist attack in Moscow, expresses solidarity with Russia

KATHMANDU, March 23: Nepal has expressed its profound shock and sorrow over the terrorist attacks that occurred during a musical concert in Moscow, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries.


Issuing a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stated that the government extends heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the people and Government of the Russian Federation as well as to the victims and their families.

It is also mentioned in the statement that Nepal stands firmly against terrorism and advocates for the swift justice against the perpetrators, wishing a rapid recovery for the injured.


On Friday, gunmen wearing military uniforms launched an attack with firearms and explosives at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, resulting in at least 60 fatalities and 145 injuries. The ISIS group has reportedly claimed responsibility for this assault.
