KAVREPALANCHOWK, Dec 5: Minister for Health and Population, Birodh Khatiwada has said Nepal has a stock of 20 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines and asked all who received the second dose of vaccine to receive the third dose as well.
Addressing an event organised by CPN (Unified Socialist) at Roshi Rural Municipality on Saturday, the health minister urged the people to receive the third dose of vaccine as the booster after getting the second one.
Minister Khatiwada said that the third dose of vaccine was mandatory as the risk of the third wave of the coronavirus infection was increasing in Nepal.

“The risk of the third wave of the coronavirus has already increased; maintain the health protocols and receive the vaccine mandatorily,” Minister Khatiwada urged.
Saying that 6,000 vaccination centers are working to administer vaccines at present, Minister Khatiwada added that such centers would be increased to 19,000 from December 16.
“I request all to visit the health centers for vaccines as we have sufficient stock of (COVID-19) vaccines.
