The border closure will remain effective for 72 hours (September 18), said the Chief District Officer Bhagirath Pandey. Movement of people and vehicles across the border has been barred.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up for the polls, he said.
Security force of both Nepal and India were conducting security checks at the border, while security forces like Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed at all 18 local levels in the district, he said. RSS
