Nepal laments govt for withdrawing names of recommended envoys

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: CPN-UML leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the government's decision of withdrawing the name of recommended 14 individuals for the ambassador was a wrong step.


Addressing a program organized by the CPN-UML Rautahat-Kathmandu Liaison Forum here on Saturday, leader Nepal said that the government widened the distance among the political parties after withdrawing the name of the recommended ambassadors as they were waiting for parliamentary hearings.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Friday had withdrawn the names of 14 individuals from the political category as they were recommended by the previous government.


In another note, leader Nepal stressed on political unity for implementing the constitution adding that there was increasing challenge in implementing the constitution. RSS
