KATHMANDU, March 31: Nepal recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19 along with 75 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,835 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 16 PCR tests and six antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 1,037 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 971 are in self-isolation, 51 in institutional isolation, 13 in ICU’s and two on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded five cases of COVID-19 on the day, all of which were recorded in Kathmandu district.
