KATHMANDU, August 26: Nepal registered 324 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, along with 418 recoveries and one death from the virus, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,515 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 163 PCR and 161 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

Across the nation, there are now 3994 active cases of COVID-19. Of them, 3,766 are in self-isolation, 177 are institutionalized isolation, 50 are in intensive care units, and one is on a ventilator. So far, 11,999 people have died of the viral disease nationwide.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 112 cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Of them, 92 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 7 in Bhaktapur, and 13 in Lalitpur districts.
