KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Nepal’s dream to lift the SAFF U-15 Championship trophy has been shattered as it conceded final contest to India by 0-7 goals in the match held on Saturday afternoon in Kolkata, India.
The strong Indian team took advantage of their home ground and sealed the match in a purely one-sided affair.

Maheson Singh opened the scoreline in the 15th minute followed by Aman Deep in the 42 minutes. Sibajit Singh sealed the first half with yet another goal in the additional minute making it 3-0.
Sridarth, the star of the match, netted the ball thrice, 52nd, 76th and in the 80th minute making it to the hat-trick. Himansh Jangra was another to have added another goal in 65th minute to formidable India.
Nepal had earlier lost to India in the first match of the group stage (0-5) in the tournament. However, thrashing Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan had made it to the finals for Saturday.
