KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Nepal recorded 1,446 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday along with 255 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 11,429 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 1,357 PCR and 89 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 7,938 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 7,245 are in home isolation, 610 in institutional isolation, 67 in ICUs, and 16 on ventilators. Similarly, 116 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,606 people have died of the viral infection across the country.
On Monday, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 876 cases of the virus. Of them, 675 were recorded in Kathmandu, 65 in Bhaktapur, and 136 in Lalitpur districts.
