Nepal records 12 deaths and 1,413 recoveries on Sunday

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: As many as 12 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal on Sunday. Likewise, the country recorded 734 new cases of COVID-19 and 1,413 recoveries on the same day, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: As many as 12 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal on Sunday. Likewise, the country recorded 734 new cases of COVID-19 and 1,413 recoveries on the same day, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally has reached 873,534, while the recovery tally has reached 749,213. Similarly,the death tally has reached 11,040.

There are currently 24,313 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 22,834 are in home isolation, 1,449 in institutional isolation, 390 in ICUs and 117 on ventilators. Similarly, 248 are currently in quarantine facilities. 


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 241 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 187 were recorded in Kathmandu, 32 in Bhaktapur and 22 in Lalitpur districts.


So far, 6,203,316 people have received their first dose of vaccine while 5,578,865 have received both doses of vaccine against COVID-19 across the country.
