KATHMANDU, May 1: Nepal recorded 20 new cases of COVID-19 along with 27 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Sunday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
A total of 3,222 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 18 PCR and two antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 222 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 215 are in self-isolation, six in institutional isolation, and one in ICU. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu valley recorded 14 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 10 cases were recorded in Kathmandu and four in Lalitpur districts.
