KATHMANDU, April 17: Nepal recorded 12 new cases of COVID-19 along with 36 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Sunday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,489 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 11 PCR and one antigen test turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 385 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 360 are in self-isolation, 15 in institutional isolation, nine in ICUs and one on a ventilator. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded three cases of COVID-19 on the same day. The cases were recorded in Kathmandu district.
