KATHMANDU, JULY 8: Nepal recorded 83 new cases of COVID-19 along with 27 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 2,154 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 83 PCR and 15 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus. There are currently 564 active cases of COVID-19 across the country.

So far, 11,952 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley has 352 active cases of COVID-19. Of them, 290 cases are in Kathmandu, eight in Bhaktapur and 54 in Lalitpur districts.
