Nepal records zero new COVID-19 case nearly after three years

KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Nepal recorded zero new COVID-19 infection on Friday nearly three years after the first case of this viral infection was reported.

 KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Nepal recorded zero new COVID-19 infection on Friday nearly three years after the first case of this viral infection was reported.

No new case of COVID-19 was recorded in Nepal in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said during a regular press briefing on Friday.


Spokesperson for the MoHP Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said no new cases of COVID-19 were detected from among the total 846 swab tests conducted in the past 24 hours. According to MoHP, there are only 14 active cases of COVID-19 in Nepal at prese nt.
