KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Nepal's Ganesh Gurung has advanced to the final stage of the men's kayak canoeing slalom event at the 19th Asian Games.


Rajiv Shrestha, President of the Nepal Rafting and Canoeing Association, proudly confirmed that Ganesh secured his place in the final by finishing among the top ten competitors during the semi-final held at Phuyang Water Sports Center on Saturday.

The final showdown is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon, where Ganesh will face off against nine other talented athletes. In the earlier heats, a total of 16 participants, including Ganesh, earned their spots in the semi-finals.


The final stage will award medals to the top three performers, and Nepal eagerly awaits Ganesh Gurung's performance in this prestigious event.
