KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Nepal set a lowly 95 runs target against the Netherlands losing all wickets in 38.1 overs at the ICC World Cricket League Championship at Amstelveen, Amsterdam on Saturday.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal was restricted to a low total by the Netherlands as wickets continued to fall in a regular interval.
Sharad Veswakar was top scorer for Nepal at 14 runs. Gyanedra Malla and Anil Mandal contributed 11 and 20 runs respectively. Sompal Kami made 12 runs. No other Nepali batsmen reached the double digit figure.
While restricting Nepal to 94 runs, Timm van der Gugten and Michael Rippon took three wickets each as Roelof van der Merwe sent two Nepali batsmen back to the pavilion.
