KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The star striker Anil Gurung stepped into the football pitch for the last time in an international match for Nepal national team.

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The star striker Anil Gurung stepped into the football pitch for the last time in an international match for Nepal national team.


The AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers match between Nepal and Philippines ended with a draw on Tuesday. Despite numerous attempts, both sides struggled to score a goal in the game played at Anfa Complex, Satdobato. Anil Gurung tried his best too after coming in at 80th minute to turn the fortunes of dominating host team.

Anil Gurung, who has played 50 international matches decade-long football career, has scored 9 career goals. He started his career in 2007 before retiring from internationals today in front of the home crowd. He will continue to play domestics.
