KATHMANDU, Jan 27: The Nepal Student Union (NSU), the student wing of major opposition Nepali Congress, burnt effigy of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in front of various campuses in the capital on Sunday morning.

The NSU cadres took to the street in protest of recently-endorsed National Medical Education Bill from the Parliament saying that the bill failed to address the demands raised by Dr Govinda KC who has been launching fast-unto-death for the past three weeks. The Nepali Congress had announced to launch agitation against the government for passing the medical education bill despite its strong objection in the parliament.
