Nepal wins bronze and Honorable Mention Award in Physics Olympiad

KATHMANDU, July 30: Nepal secured two medals in the 54th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO). According to Dr Harishankar Mallik, Agraj Chapagain won a bronze and Anurag Gupta won the Honorable Mention Award during the nine-day Olympiad which concluded in Iran on Monday.

KATHMANDU, July 30: Nepal secured two medals in the 54th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO). According to Dr Harishankar Mallik, Agraj Chapagain won a bronze and Anurag Gupta won the Honorable Mention Award during the nine-day Olympiad which concluded in Iran on Monday.


Dr Malik said that he is proud of the success achieved by the students representing Nepal, noting that the competition provided an opportunity for them to showcase their talent at the international level.

The Nepal Physical Society had initially selected 23 students through a national competition to participate in the international competition. Among them, Anurag Gupta, Yogendra Upadhyay, Rajendra Dhami, and Agraj were selected for the competition.


Along with students, two experts including Pradeep Kumar Bhattarai and former secretary Dr Mallik attended the competition.


The competition was held in Isfahan, Iran from July 21 to 29 .
