‘Tahara’ wins ‘Special Mention Award’ in USA

‘Tahara’ (Shelter) won ‘Special Mention Award’ at 3rd Nepal America International Film Festival held in Maryland, USA.

‘Tahara’ (Shelter) won ‘Special Mention Award’ at 3rd Nepal America International Film Festival held in Maryland, USA recently. Nepal America Film Society (NAFS) has been organizing the festival since 2017.Deepak Tolange is the director of the film which has been edited by Shiva Puri. The 27 minutes long film highlights major ‘squatter’ movement that took place in Kathmandu, along with a story of a mother and a daughter. The film has been shot from 2011 to 2013.

Moreover, ‘Tahara’ had also won ‘Best Non Fiction Film Award’ at 7th Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival in Kathmandu.
