Nepal women make winning start in handball

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: Nepal national women's handball team has beaten Sri Lanka 29-19 in handball held at the covered hall in Pokhara Stadium.

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: Nepal national women's handball team has beaten Sri Lanka 29-19 in handball at the 13th edition of South Asian Games (SAG).

In the game played at the covered hall in Pokhara Stadium on Wednesday, Nepal's Uma Rai scored the highest 8 goals while Kabita Rai hit 6. Similarly, Kalpana Oli and Nisha Rai contributed 4 goals each. Shakuntala Rai and Ram Kumari Rai netted once each during the match.
