NEPALGUNJ, July 6: The newly elected mayor, deputy mayor and other elected representatives of Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City assumed office today.
Mayor Dr Dhawal Shamsher Rana, Deputy Mayor Uma Thapa Magar, ward chairpersons and members also assumed office amid a function organized at the Sub Metropolis office premises today.

The chief election officer Tej Prasad Poudel administered the oath of office and secrecy and provided certificates to them.
As many as 117 representatives were elected in 23 wards of the Sub Metropolis under the second phase of local level elections held on June 28.
After assuming the post, mayor Rana and deputy mayor Magar expressed their commitments to work as per their announcement made before the election. RSS
