Nepali and Chinese industrialists meet to explore new business opportunities in Nepal

KATHMANDU, March 13: The meeting of industrialists and businessmen of Nepal and China has been held after four years.


A joint meeting of businessmen from the two countries was held at a hotel in Kathmandu on Monday. Vice President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Tribhuvandhar Tuladhar said that in the meeting, there was a discussion about the possibility of new business in Nepal, bringing in investment, solving the current business related problems and border problems, as well as conducting stalled projects. Tuladhar, who is also the president of Nepal China Chamber, said that in the meeting, there was also discussion about providing vocational training to Nepalis, sending teachers to Nepal to teach Chinese language to businessmen, restarting stopped business, opening industries, searching for new possibilities.  


Vice President Tuladhar also clarified that the meeting informed that there is a high possibility of Chinese banks coming to Nepal. He said that in the meeting, there was also a discussion about further deepening and strengthening the relations between the two countries and the businessmen of the two countries. A 12-member team from CCPIT Beijing and CCIOC has come to Nepal for the meeting. Nepali industrialists and businessmen are happy with the fact that China has opened up business areas with other countries including Nepal and the Chinese government has placed Nepal in the list of tourist destinations.
