Participating organizations included notable names such as Ferring, Roche, Stone Step, and Swiss Re. The delegation held high-level discussions with various entities including the Ministry of Health, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and the Department of Drug Administration, among others. These interactions spanned across sectors with a focus on health, Insurtech, and infrastructure development.
Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, Dr. Danielle Meuwly, referenced the success of the initial fact-finding mission in November 2022, which facilitated achievements such as the air service agreement between Nepal and Switzerland. Dr. Meuwly expressed hope that this second mission would further aid in transitioning Nepal from aid dependency to a trade-focused relationship.
The visit provided the Swiss delegation with valuable insights into Nepal’s business environment and potential investment areas, promising a future of increased collaboration between the two nations.
