Nepali football team to play friendly match with Malaysia today

KATHMANDU, March 15: Nepali national men's football team is playing a friendly match with Malaysia today.


Nepal is going to play against Malaysia to prepare for the match against Bahrain under the FIFA World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifiers.


The match will be held at 7:45 PM Nepali time at the Stadium UiTM in Shah Alam.

According to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the match will be informally held in a closed stadium and spectators will not be allowed to enter. According to ANFA, there will be no live broadcast of the match.


This time the Nepali team includes six new players and Bharat Khawas has made a comeback.


After some players including Ayush Ghalan, goalkeeper Deep Karki did not participate in the closed training, the head coach Vincenzo Alberto Enes made the team by including new players.


Abhishek Limbu, Ajay Chaudhary, Saubhagya Rai (Sanjit), Bishal Basnet, Rohan Karki and Samir Tamang have been included in the team for the first time.


After playing against Malaysia, the Nepali team will go to Bahrain from there.


The match between Nepal and Bahrain will be played in Bahrain on March 21 and March 26. Although the qualifying matches will be held on the basis of home and away, as the Dashrath stadium is not suitable for playing the match, the match that Nepal will have to play at its home ground is also going to be played in Bahrain.
