A handicraft exhibition and fair has been organized in Nepal-China border Kerung to promote and distribute Nepali traditional handicrafts.
Kerung Local Government and Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal jointly organized the fair from October 19.

According to Deputy Chief of the Federation, Rishiraj Subedi, items such as metal idols, Pashmina, Thangka, woolens, textiles, garments and silver jewelry are being showcased at the fair.
"The main purpose of the fair is to promote Nepali handicrafts in the Chinese market,” said Subedi.
“Chinese President Xi Jinping has just visited Nepal a few days ago and the Nepali handicraft exhibit in China has further strengthened Nepal-China relationships,” he added.
Altogether five Nepali companies and farms have displayed their products at the fair.
The fair is slated to run till October 25.
