Nepali Toastmasters awarded

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Nepali contestants have won one district-level award and five out of six division level awards in Toastmasters Evaluation and Humorous Speech Contests held in New Delhi, India, from November 3-5, 2017.

According to a statement issued on Monday, 24 Toastmaster members from Nepal had participated in Resonance 2017. Toastmaster Diptee Chhetri Acharya of Everest Toastmasters Club and Toastmaster Prashant Shrestha of Himalaya Toastmasters Club won first and second place, respectively, in the division level Evaluation Contest, while Toastmaster Seema Golchha and Toastmaster Manoj Basnet of Everest Toastmasters Club received first and second place, respectively.


Toastmaster Rabindra Pradhan of Shangri-La Toastmasters Club secured third position in the division level Humorous Speech Contest, according to the statement. "Eventually, Toastmaster Seema Golchha won silver in the finals of district-level Humorous contest," it added. There are nine active Toastmasters clubs in Nepal with about 400 members.
