JAJARKOT, April 17: Two Nepalis living in Australia have offered financial help to five orphans who have been forced to live a miserable life after the death of their parents.
Nagarik vernacular daily had published a news report on them on April 13.
Due to extreme poverty, their parents had committed suicide - mother on August 25, 2016, and father on October 28. Since then, these children have been forced to beg and live in the streets of Kushe rural municipality.
Those offering help are Suredra Sapkota and Rajman Thakali, currently living in Sydney. They have initially provided Rs 20,000, and have pledged to provide an additional 10,000 per month to the children for their education and food.
Chief District Officer Janak Raj Sharma handed over the amount to the orphan family on Monday.
