KATHMANDU, Nov 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday plunged 10.86 points to close at 1,847.70 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,858.56 points, increased marginally by one point in the first few minutes and went to a straight fall in the next moment to hit the day’s low at 1,843.02 points in the last 20 minutes. The market recovered around four points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also declined 2.19 points. The daily turnover marginally increased to Rs 964.47 million from Rs 812.08 million on Wednesday.
Only two groups including hotels and tourism, and manufacturing and processing added 198.59 points and 3.68 points, respectively. The remaining 11 groups had their market prices declined in the intraday trading. Non-life insurance lost the highest of 90.76 points.
Among individual companies, the market values of 190 companies decreased whereas 40 companies posted gains in their indices.
Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited Promoter Share had trading of Rs 101.01 million and stood at the top of the transaction volume lists. Chandragiri Hills Limited gained the highest of 6.04 percent of its market price.
