KATHMANDU, July 4: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday increased by 15.46 points to close at 2,119.69 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,104.22 points and reached the day’s high at 2,129.38 points in the first half an hour. The index however dropped to as low as 2,106.11 points in the next one and a half hours. In the second half of the trading time, the market recovered around 13 points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also increased 1.84 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 6.48 billion from Rs 5.08 billion on Wednesday.
Two groups including finance, and manufacturing and processing lost 15.47 points and 9.75 points, respectively. Of the 11 gainers, life insurance added the largest of 197.63 points, which was followed by development banks with 145.70 points.
Among individual companies, 149 were recorded as gainers whereas 92 were the losers.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 300.90 million. Ankhu Khola Jalvidyut Company Ltd was recorded as the topmost gainer, while Dordi Khola Jalvidyut Company Limited lost the highest of 4.75 percent of its market value.
