BIRATNAGAR, Oct 4: The newly elected leaders of the CPN-UML Koshi Provincial Committee have been sworn in, marking a new leadership in the province.
Raghubir Mahaseth, the in-charge of CPN-UML in Koshi Province, administered the oath of office and secrecy to the elected chairman, officials, and members. The certificates of appointment were presented by UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Ghanshyam Khatiwada emerged as the chairman after securing victory over Binod Dhakal in the first provincial convention of UML. Khatiwada garnered 512 votes, while Dhakal received 430 votes. Tikaram Chemjong from Dhankuta was elected as the vice chairman unanimously.
Raj Kumar Bhandari from Panchthar was elected as the secretary, and Jalabarsha Rajbanshi from Jhapa and Dewan Rai from Khotang were chosen as the under-secretaries. The convention elected a total of 215 members to the committee, which includes provincial committee officials.
